Fees and rebates

Ixencion’s fees are set out plainly so clients and referrers can understand the practice’s current appointment model.

Appointment fees

• Standard 50-minute appointment: $220
• Student concession 50-minute appointment: $180
• Reports, letters, and other non-standard work are billed separately at the applicable consultation rate, normalised to 60 minutes and charged in 6-minute increments.

Payment and cancellations

A 50% deposit is required at booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the appointment.

If an appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice but more than 24 hours’ notice, 50% of the full fee is payable.

If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the full appointment fee is payable.

Medicare referrals and rebates

Medicare-referred appointments may be available where there is a current Mental Health Treatment Plan, a valid referral, and telehealth is appropriate.

Most clients should expect to pay the session fee first. Depending on the claiming arrangement in place, a Medicare rebate may be returned to you or claimed directly through Medicare.

Eligibility, referral validity, rebate arrangements, and available session counts should be confirmed before relying on a rebate.
