About the practice
About Ixencion
Ixencion is a private psychology practice delivered by telehealth.
The practice was founded to make serious psychological work more reachable for people whose time, location, or circumstances can make traditional access difficult. That practical origin matters, but it is not the whole brand.
Why Ixencion exists
Access to therapy can fail in two ways. It can be hard to reach at all, and it can become so procedural that the person seeking therapy feels secondary to the pathway.
Ixencion was created to answer both problems. Telehealth makes the practice more reachable. The practice philosophy keeps attention on the person doing the work.
The deeper idea
The name Ixencion carries the founder’s deeper idea of the “I”: the person as an active participant in self-discovery rather than a passive object of treatment.
That idea gives the practice its orientation. Therapy is approached as a disciplined encounter with the person who thinks, feels, avoids, chooses, commits, relates, and can come to understand more of what they are living.
The intersecting triangles in the Ixencion mark can be read as an encounter point: tension, reflection, and the movement toward a more conscious relation to the self.
Clinical grounding
Ixencion is led by Chris Humphrey, a registered psychologist. His therapeutic stance is person-centred and informed by cognitive behavioural, value-focused, and dynamic therapies.
Chris provides clinical accountability for the practice. Ixencion remains the public subject of the brand.
Current service model
Ixencion currently offers telehealth appointments. Practical details about telehealth, fees, and appointments are set out on the relevant pages.
