About the practice

About Ixencion

Ixencion is a founder-led psychology practice in Orange, NSW. Every appointment happens by video.

Why telehealth

In most of regional NSW, seeing a psychologist means driving, waiting, or both. Video removes the drive. Bulk billing removes the gap fee for referred clients. Telehealth is one way psychological care can be provided. The same professional standards apply, but telehealth is not suitable for every person or presentation. Suitability, limitations and alternatives are discussed with you.

Christopher Humphrey MAPS, Principal Psychologist

Chris is the Principal Psychologist at Ixencion. He moved from Sydney to Orange, works on Wiradjuri Country, and built the practice for what he found here: capable people, long distances, and not enough psychologists to go around.

Sessions are shaped around the person, not a method. The approach is neuroaffirming, trauma-informed and person-centred, drawing on CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy; what fits you is what gets used.
