Privacy

Ixencion is a psychology practice operated by Christopher Humphrey in Orange, NSW. The practice handles personal and health information under the Australian Privacy Principles. This page covers the website; clients receive a detailed Privacy Collection Notice at intake.

This website

The public website collects as little as possible.

  • Browsing the site does not require an account and the site does not use advertising trackers.
  • Aggregate, privacy-preserving usage statistics may be collected to understand site traffic. They do not identify you.
  • If you use the contact form or email the practice, your name, contact details, and message are used to respond to you and for no other purpose.
  • Please don’t include health information in the contact form. Clinical information is collected through the practice’s secure intake process, not the public website.

Bookings

Appointments are managed in the practice’s booking and records system, which collects the details needed to manage your appointment: contact details, Medicare and referral information where relevant, and payment details where a fee applies. Clients receive the practice’s Privacy Collection Notice, which explains this in full, at intake.

Clinical records

Clinical records are kept securely in the practice’s clinical system, not on this website. Records are retained as required by law: at least seven years from last contact, or for clients seen before age 18, until they turn 25.

Access, corrections, and complaints

You can ask for access to your information, ask for corrections, or raise a privacy concern by emailing reception@ixencion.com.au. If a concern isn’t resolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
